DOCG Romagna Albana 2012

This wine is the fist product of F"Impronta dei gessi" project.

The purpose of this project is that to valorise / exploit the autochtonous wineyards of territory in the best way.

The project became concrete after "Zonazione" of Brisighella territory, realized with the contribution of Milano University. This research, lasted from 2007 to 2009, underlined cru in wich Sangiovese and Albana grapes express themselves better. This Albana Cru come from "Vena del Gesso", a particular zone wher, calcareous soils, rich in gypsum crystals express Albana characteristics in the best way.

All this procedure gives to wine jis typical gold-yellow colour. The must ferments in little pools at controlled temperature of 14 degrees. After fermentation the product is refined in stell containers for one year. This long wait, before bottling, enriches the wine of his typical aromas such as peach and blossom honey. At the taste are evident fruity and sweet traces balanced by strong acidity and rich in tannins that give persistence, freshness and salinity.

This features make this wine suitable to full-bodied food such as filled pasta, chowder, roasted meat, and typical salami of the thone.
